Dr. Skyler Talamantes
Hi, I’m Dr. Skyler Talamantes. I grew up in Sterling, Colorado, where I spent most of my childhood playing soccer and basketball and developed a lifelong passion for sports and staying active. After experiencing a basketball injury myself, I discovered chiropractic care and was amazed by the results. That experience inspired me to pursue a career helping others recover, move better, and stay healthy.
I attended the University of Northern Colorado, where I graduated in 2016 with a degree in Sports and Exercise Science and a minor in Nutrition. I then went on to earn my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic and have been practicing since 2019.
Outside of the office, my greatest joy is my family. My wife is an RN in the Emergency Department at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas and is currently continuing her education to become a Nurse Practitioner. Together, we have two amazing children, Curren and Frankie, who keep life fun and busy.
When I’m not treating patients, you can usually find me skiing, traveling, spending time with family, or watching just about every sport imaginable. I’m passionate about helping people live active, healthy lives and enjoy doing what they love most.
Dr. Larry M. Herring - Chiropractor Rancho Bernardo
Dr Larry Herring is the clinic director of Herring Chiropractic. Herring Chiropractic has served the local North County Inland San Diego area since establishing his practice in 1989. Dr Herring has a Bachelor of Science Degree from Jacksonville University. His doctorate is from Life Chiropractic College, now called Life University. In 1992 Dr Herring was awarded a Diplomat Status with the prestigious American Academy of Pain Management. The Diplomat Status is the highest level of recognition for Medical Doctors, Chiropractors, and Allied Professionals by the American Academy of Pain Management. In 1998 he was awarded "Doctor of the Year" by the San Diego County Chiropractic Society. His hobbies include hiking, snow skiing, and bike riding. In March of 2000 Dr. Herring achieved the "personal bucket list" of bike riding 950 miles from Cairo, Egypt to Jerusalem, Israel. In 2011 Dr Herring was elected the Deputy Honorary Mayor of Rancho Bernardo. Dr Herring and his wife have been married for 44 years and are proud parents of four children.
Dr. Karen Rens - Chiropractor Rancho Bernardo
Dr. Karen Rens graduated from U.S.C. with a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science. Dr. Rens completed her chiropractic education at the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic. Upon graduating from Chiropractic College, Dr. Rens was named the New Doctor of the Year by the California Chiropractic Association. In 2011 Dr Rens was named San Diego Health Care Champion Finalist by San Diego Business Journal. Dr. Rens’ practice includes patients of all ages from infants to adults. Dr. Rens’ treatment incorporates both chiropractic and spinal and sports rehabilitation.
